TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT:

Contributions are always welcome and are much needed to bring the film home and launch it well so it is seen all over the world.

  • For $50, you will receive a DVD of the film. For $150, a DVD and our official poster.

  • For $250 or more, you will receive a credit in the end titles of the film.

  • For $1,000 or more, in addition to the above, we will move your credit up to the first rank of supporters, as well as invite you to one of the film’s premieres as our guest.

The film has a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor, the San Francisco Film Society. If you make a check payable to them, your contribution will be tax-deductible. Please contact us to discuss plans or questions about donating. And please send any checks to us, so that we are in the loop and can forward them to SFFS.

OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT:

A Fierce Green Fire will be distributed through a combination of traditional release and grassroots outreach campaigns. Plans are to premiere the film in 2012. However, we are already at work building a community of supporters. Please join us, stay informed and help spread the word!
The initial phase of distribution will consist of festival premieres, theatrical engagements, and semi-theatrical screenings on campuses, at community halls and libraries -- you name it, we’ll tour with the film wherever there’s an audience. Early on, educational distribution also will be launched; the film is modular and works well in 20-25 minute segments, ideal for classroom use and discussion. Broadcast, both in the US and internationally, will begin after a year; here too the film can be broken up into broadcast hours and aired as a short series. Two years out we’ll release the film on DVD to the general public, and begin to stream the film from our website so worldwide audiences can access and use it. Hopes are to reach 10-20 million people, maybe more. A Fierce Green Fire should become a classic, one of the defining films about one of the most important movements of our time.
We are also preparing for outreach and engagement with environmental organizations, activists and causes of every sort. We’d like to join your campaign; figure out how our film can inspire, rally and recruit supporters. Now we are looking for partners, people and groups to work with. If you have ideas about how to use this film as a catalyst for change, organizing tool or educational opportunity, please get in touch with us.

BUILDING A COMMUNITY:

Most of all we hope you’ll join our growing community of friends and supporters, become part of the avant-garde who spread the word and build the buzz around “A Fierce Green Fire.” A strong network is crucial to the film’s success.

  • Join our email list so we can update you on news, screenings and other opportunities.

  • Find and like us on Facebook and Twitter. Social media is an important new tool for promoting this film; we want to go viral!

  • Tell your friends and colleagues about the film, direct them to this website with its sample videos and tell them there’s more and better coming soon!
